Welcome to the Mid Ohio Writing Project. Our site is a local site of the National Writing Project (NWP) located at The Ohio State University Mansfield. We are one of 200 sites across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. NWP is a professional development program that offers high-quality professional development for teachers who teach writing.

 

The goal of the NWP is to improve student writing and learning from kindergarten through college across content areas. This professional development model basis its approach on educators sharing best teaching practices and investigating current research on the teaching of writing. The MOWP offers professional development for teachers in our area in three ways: a 4-week Summer Institute, Continuity Sessions, and In-Service programs.
