If you've ever wished to have more time to write, or to be challenged professionally, or to associate with other literate professionals...MOWP is the place to be.
2011 Invitational Summer Institute - This year we are able to invite 15 teachers, kindergarten through university, to the OSU-Mansfield campus to participate as MOWP Summer Fellows in the Invitational Institute supported by a tuition waiver and 5-6 graduate credits. At the end of the summer program, you will be MOWP Teacher Consultants, an expanding network of Mid Ohio and National Writing Project educators. Please complete and return the application by Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 5:00 pm.
Technology Education offered by the Mid-Ohio Writing Project tech team. Learn how to integrate technology into your classroom and become more proficient with technology skills.
In Service Programs that demonstrate the use of writing as a tool for learning are provided by teacher-consultants (graduates) of the summer institute.
Reading Discussion Groups meet to examine literature and its effect on language instruction. Get your invitation!
Continuity Sessions provide ongoing support for teachers after the summer institute when they are making changes to improve their classroom practices.
Professional Writing Group - Join your fellow teachers as they write about their practice and share their writings both in writing groups (two will meet at the OSU Mansfield campus) and online using Google Docs. All fellow searchers welcome. ** See calendar for event dates. |
