It started with a simple concept: One for One. For every face mask sold, Sock It to Me would donate one for Meals on Wheels People’s volunteers and clients. The first shipment in July included 9 boxes of more than 3,000 face masks. Volunteers immediately appreciated the complimentary face masks to help ensure their no contact deliveries were even safer for clients. A few months later nearly 10,000 face masks have been distributed to volunteers, staff, and clients.
About the Face Masks
The outer layer is knit with special copper-infused fibers, with a soft cotton inner layer, not made with just repurposed garment materials. The masks come with toggles so they’re easily adjusted and have a bendable wire for a contoured fit. Masks are available in two sizes. The standard adult sizes will fit most adults with adjustable straps. The smaller kid size will fit children 3 and up, and smaller adults.
