Donor-Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account established with a charitable sponsor (Oregon Community Foundation, Community Foundation of SW Washington, Fidelity Charitable, etc.). A DAF is set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. The sponsor manages and administers individual DAF accounts, including asset management and gift disbursement, and helps the donor assess community investment opportunities and connect with the people, causes, and needs that align with their charitable interests.
DAFs have become the most popular tax-efficient way to conduct charitable giving in the United States. They are an excellent way to simplify your giving, maximize your community impact, and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.
