Q: What made you interested in volunteering for Meals on Wheels People?
A: I have volunteered throughout my adult life. I was looking for a meaningful cause and Meals on Wheels fit the bill.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your volunteer experience?
A: I enjoy getting to know the clients on my route. They are all very special people. I feel I and making a difference in their life (and mine).
Q: What inspires you?
A: I get inspiration in many ways. I am inspired by people who rise above adversity, my best friend of 30 years who always has a positive attitude and will always be there for me and learning to make authentic lasagna in a Tuscan hill town.
Q: What do you like to do when you are not volunteering?
A: I help out my parents who live across town. I love planning trips. I am currently mapping out a trip my husband will take next year which will include driving along the Great River Road which parallels the Mississippi River.
Q: Who has influenced you the most?
A: My parents for sure. They were always present for me and my brother, taught us right from wrong, responsibility and a strong work ethic.
