One Day in the Hospital … Or One Year of Meals?
For less than the cost of a day in the hospital, you can help a local veteran like Larry stay nourished, connected, and safe at home — where he wants to be.

Larry served his country. Then life got harder than he ever imagined.
After retiring, Larry faced a heartbreaking choice: Feed himself, or feed his service dog, Mojo.
He was alone. Struggling with his health. Losing weight. And skipping meals to make sure Mojo could eat. Eventually, he ended up in the hospital for malnutrition.
That’s when Meals on Wheels People showed up.
Every week now, a friendly volunteer brings Larry a nutritious meal — and reminds him he’s not forgotten.
Your donation helps provide:
Nutritious, medically tailored meals
Regular wellness checks from trained volunteers
Human connection that combats loneliness
Independence, dignity, and fewer hospitalizations
“My overall health has gotten a lot better. I was having problems staying conscious because of the malnutrition. That’s scary. But now I know tomorrow I’m going to be in my own home. And I get to keep my dog. There’s a lot more to it than just the meals. They’ve done a lot for me and Mojo. It’s meant a lot to me.”
