Willamette Week’s Give!Guide is back — and we have the chance to make a huge impact. Our goal is to raise $85,000 by Dec. 31 so that older adults in our community never have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Because when you’re 84, live alone, and rely on $23 a month in SNAP benefits, even one meal a day — even one — makes a difference.

Last year, with your support, we delivered nearly 1.5 million meals to more than 11,400 older adults and at-risk neighbors. This year, the need is even greater: The financial reality for our participants is becoming more precarious. Upcoming changes to programs like Medicaid and SNAP mean low-income older adults are bracing for tougher times. These shifts will increase demand for services like ours — which are already stretched — and deepen hardship for people who simply cannot afford more instability. As one participant put it:

“The last thing older people should be worried about is where they’re going to get their next meal.”

At Meals on Wheels People, we’ve never had a waitlist — and we’re determined to keep it that way. Your gift today ensures we can continue delivering meals, connection, and peace of mind to older adults in our community.

Your gift through Give!Guide makes an immediate impact:

$10.50 provides a meal and vital social connection

$73.50 provides a week of meals and care

$315 provides a month of meals and connection

$3,832.50 provides a full year

Every meal, every visit, every gift matters.
