Every quart of eggnog delivered through the end of the year will help support seniors experiencing food insecurity or social isolation.

At Alpenrose, we pride ourselves on being neighborly and are so excited to partner with Meals on Wheels People to help care for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. For every quart of Eggnog we deliver during November and December, we will donate $1 to Meals on Wheels People to help buy meals for local seniors. Winter-time holidays can be challenging for homebound seniors who are already navigating the challenges of COVID closures, social distancing, and feelings of isolation and loneliness during this time of year.

“For many homebound seniors, the holidays are the hardest time of the year. Many aren’t able to see their family and struggle to get a nutritious meal,” shares Tony Staser, Chief Development Officer of Meals on Wheels People.

We invite our home delivery customers to get involved and make the holiday tradition of eggnog do some extra good.

“Eggnog is our most popular seasonal item, and people wait all year to get their Eggnog fix!” shares Josh Reynolds, general manager for Alpenrose. “Every generation discovers the joy that is Eggnog, and we thought this was a fun way for customers to help us bring some holiday cheer to others in need.” This year, we’re also excited to debut a refreshed carton design.

So how can you get involved? Current home delivery customers can add quarts of Eggnog to their weekly order. Remember, for each quart delivered, $1 is donated!

Not a customer yet? Anyone in the Portland metro area (including SW Washington) can sign-up for Alpenrose Home Delivery to support those in need. Our sign-up process is quick and easy!

You can also start service using the Alpenrose mobile app, available on the App Store and Google Play! Once you’ve created your account, you can order Eggnog along with fresh Pacific Northwest groceries. There are no subscription fees or delivery charges for orders over $15.
